Welcome Incoming Graduate First Year Students
Note: This page will be updated with new dates closer to your registration date.

Completing Module Registration

When attempting to complete their online registration, some incoming Graduate Taught students may experience difficulties in completing their module selection online.  A common issue is eligibility to take modules because the UCD online registration system is looking for proof that certain pre-requisite modules have been completed.

Please note that if you experience any issue with your module selection in terms of eligibility to take any of the modules offered by your programme, or any other issue relating to your registration you should contact the UCD Engineering and Architecture College using this Student Connector Form.

Depending on your masters programme registration will take place on: Tuesday, 20 August 2024.

A specific date and time will be sent to you through your UCD connect email account. Please note that your UCD connect account will be activated 48 hours prior to registration. To access your UCD Connect email, you will need to log into UCD Connect at  www.ucd.ie/connect Your username is your UCD student number, and your password is your date of birth (in ddmmyy format).

Students should also discuss their module selections with their Programme Director/ Coordinator at their scheduled Advisory session to ensure that they are in compliance with the programme structure.

Orientation Information

The College’s welcome Event for all our incoming graduate taught students will take place on Thursday, 5 September 2024 at 12:15pm- 3:15pm in the  Engineering and Materials Science Centre, UCD, Main Lobby beside the Red Wheel.

You can download the slides used in the Orientation session here.

It is extremely important you attend this event as it will provide you with very useful information before you commence your studies with us. A programme specific advisory session will take place on the week before term. Information relating to your session will be updated below so when that is available take note and save the details into your calendar so you do not miss it.

Please click here for a Welcome Note from our Dean of Graduate Studies, (opens in a new window)Professor Barbara Dooley. This page also contains very useful information for incoming graduate students.
