UCD is committed to supporting diversity, equality and inclusion (EDI) in the University. If you would like to become involved in EDI initiatives and contributing to positive change for everyone, consider becoming a member of UCD’s EDI Subgroups and engaging with our UCD EDI Employee Networks by completing an expression of interest form for any of sub-groups or networks that you are in joining below. Further information on EDI initiatives can be found on the EDI website and in our EDI Annual Reports. Read more about the EDI sub - groups and Networks here.
Please ensure that you discuss participation on the group with your line manager in advance of submitting an expression of interest due to the time commitment involved in being on a sub-group including attending meetings and supporting the implementation of initiatives. Sub-groups will normally meet on a quarterly basis.
UCD EDI Employee Networks
Be part of UCD’s vibrant and diverse EDI Community. UCD EDI Employee Networks provide opportunities for you to expand your network across UCD, connect through social and thought leadership events and webinars; seek peer support and contribute to making our university more inclusive. UCD’s EDI Employee Networks are also an important part of the EDI eco-system providing visibility and feedback to UCD EDI Unit on the experiences of diverse communities within UCD.
Whether you are interested in an active role in one of the EDI Staff Networks steering groups or you would like to become a member and avail of what our staff networks have to offer their members, we encourage you to sign-up by contacting UCD’s EDI employee networks below:
UCD Women at STEM is a network supporting UCD women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics to reach their full potential at any stage of their career.
Expression of Interest (co-chair)
Women@STEM in UCD is seeking a new co-chair. Chaired by Dr Alessia Paccagnini and Dr Catherine Mooney, who has stepped down from her role as co-chair to take up the appointment of Vice Principal for EDI for the College of Science. This group is seeking expressions of interest from colleagues to become co-chair of the group with Assistant Professor, Alessia Paccagnini. Completed forms and any queries should be sent to by Wednesday, 28th September 2022.
