MSc Summer Internship Programme 2016

Since 2013, the cluster has been running a successful MSc Summer Internship programme.

In 2015, the cluster organized a Financial Internship Fair together with the Careers office at UCD Smurfit. In February 2016, the Financial Internship Fair was held again. There were 15 companies who contributed exhibitions. Six companies gave employer presentations. Over 100 students attended the fair.

Feedback from industry participants, students and course Directors has been very positive. We were very pleased to see that 36 companies have accepted 50 students of the three MSc programmes as interns in 2016.

In 2017, the internship fair for MSc Finance, MSc Energy and Environmental Finance, MSc Quantitative Finance and MSc Aviation Finance is taking place on Monday, 13th February 2017.

MSc Summer Internship Programme 2015

Due to the continued success and growth FMC2 and the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business will be running this programme again in 2015 for MSc Finance, MSc Quantitative Finance and MSc Energy and Environmental Finance students.

Internships typically last for 10 – 12 weeks, beginning in June 2015, but can be offered for longer periods.

This year we are asking companies who would like to offer internships to submit a job specification by 10 February 2015.

For the first time we are also organising a Financial Internship Showcase Event on 19 February 2015, sponsored by the Financial Mathematics and Computation Research Cluster (FMC2). This event will enable interested companies to provide short presentations to our MSc students on their companies and the internships they offer. There will also be opportunities to meet with individual students as well as Q&A sessions and a networking lunch.

If you would like to become an internship partner with FMC2 or require further information please fill out the form below and we will get back to you.
